Software have installed the CE Merchandising system for Wrigley
Greece. Special keyboard routines where written
to accept/display the Greek character set on the HP
Jornada. Communications (using the HandHeld Computer's
internal modem) is from the Greek Islands to the main
office in Athens.
CM Software have installed the CE Merchandising system for Wrigley Austria. The software required no modifications even though all of the screens where customised to be in the German language.
CM Software have redesigned the merchandising system for The Wrigley Company (UK). The new software's are now 32 bit application for Windows NT. In addition a configurable database system to run under Windows CE is being developed for language variants.
Following a successful evaluation The Wrigley Company Stockholm, Sweden are to equip the RDR’s with palmtop computers in a similar way to Wrigley UK. CM Software (the authors) have already provided complete systems since 1992, for Wrigley in the UK, Spain, Canary Islands and Portugal. Some degree of customisation in addition to the language conversion is required to meet Sweden’s particular requirements. The Swedish system is based on the HP360LX Windows CE Palmtop Computer.
Sale Clincher has been selected by McDonnell Douglas Information Systems (MDIS) for the system to use by their sales force. The configuration includes a Telesales company in the north of England acting a remote satellite, plus a number of remote notebook PC’s held by the mobile sales staff.
Following the success of the
pilot study last year, Walkers Snack Foods have
contracted CM Software to roll-out the field sales system
to all RDR’s. The RDR’s are equipped with
palmtop computers and a modem. CM have provided all
software for the palmtops as well as communications and
database software at Walkers head office. The development
includes 32bit C++ programming for the
Communications/Oracle Database interface.
APV Crawley have upgraded their sales force to the Windows version of Sale Clincher. APV have been using the DOS version of Sale Clincher since 1993 in their Dairy division. More recently the Brewery division have also adopted Sale Clincher for customer enquiry tracking.
